How are things between Marksville and Alex? Gotta drive up from Avoyelles tomorrow
I left bunkie around 10:30 to pick up my kid at lsua and it was fine. Now, that was 71 but I can't imagine 1 is flooded.

Got it as well, over her in Oak hills. Currently, the rain has reached turd floater status.

The updated experimental HRRR (it has been pretty good so far with this event) is showing another 6-9" over the I12 corridor from BR east through the Florida Parishes. A lot of this area has already seen 4-6" this afternoon.
ETA: Holden is reporting 7.29"

Do you have a link for a place where I can type in a city or click on a map for rainfall totals?

Not that I know of, you can go to individual NWS WFOs webpages under the Climate section and pull daily reports. Here is the link for the NWS New Orleans that covers BR. This is the daily report:

Now, there is a better way. You can use GHCNpy in Python to access the full national data set. Then you can pick any station that generates daily data and pull the data.

This shite seems to be backing up. Another round coming into North LA from the south tonight and tomorrow.

Yea, the line stalled out before making it to New Orleans and the started lifting back towards the NW. Looks like there is a boundary sagging from S. Mississippi down towards BR that is focusing the rainfall. Could be a long night for S. Louisiana.

New Orleans has a protective barrier around it. We have been spared the last two weeks.

So what would the OT weather experts say the chances of the BR St Paddy's Day Parade still being on for Saturday?....
Posted on 3/10/16 at 11:57 pm to StealthCalais11
