That was were I turned around and drove the shoulder back to the previous exit. I am sure a lot of folks were stranded there.

The only thing that I've seen on that area today is that unofficially the station at La Tech broke the 2 day rainfall record. The record books there go back to 1895.

According to tonight's GFS, SE LA's turn is coming between now and Saturday night. I hope the pumps in NOLA are ready...

Hard to ignore it when it shows 12-15" over the NOLA area.

If that is accurate we will get get close to 24 inches of rain. D'Arbonne is rising 3 inches an hour now. We could surpass the 91 flood mark.

Biggest pumps in the world baw. We just need someone to stay awake long enough to turn them on

Don't try to drive in that shite.
I damn near got trapped by water over the roads after Christmas trying to get back from Tulsa via East Texas. Kept getting redirected in the middle of unfamiliar rural areas. I thought for a while we would sleep in the car on the side of the road and hope the water didn't rise over our heads.
Don't risk it.
