This thing seems to be vastly over performing on radar. Lots of snow and well south of I-20 (Bama and GA, not MS)

Getting a nice wintry mix at my location north of Birmingham, though it seems like mostly snow. Ground already turning white.

Just looked outside here in Bham and it’s a good two inches of snow.

This system is overperforming further south than expected.

In Hoover/Helena area and there’s 2-3 inches on the ground. Sounds like sleet now.

Gotta be 3 inches now here in Bham. So is it going to keep snowing or will it eventually start raining?

I just read the NWS Birmingham forecast and they make it sound like it’s going to continue to do this for a while before transitioning to possibly freezing rain rather than simply a cold rain.

Nothing burger here along I20 in central Mississippi. Just a cold rain. Not that I’m complaining.

I just measured 9.5” near Little Rock. That’s a really wet dense snow too. There’s not a lack of moisture in this storm.

We crapped out in North Texas

Yesterday afternoon it got above freezing and it all started melting and turning to rain.

WAPP predicted 5 hours of snow overnight that didn't happen.

Streets are clear but all schools remain closed

Looking at Atlanta airport on the radar and it looks like it's in the purple section so either sleet, snow or freezing rain. I haven't seen any planes take off for a while, Delta is gonna be a mess today
