KC Chiefs are stuck at the airport in KC right now. Severe icing has them in a ground stop and they can't de ice the plane.
Refs will assess a 15 yd delay of game on the opposing team when they get there.

Weather app on the outskirts of Ruston says 8 inches of snow?
What the hell?? No way that’s right

Most weather apps don’t really give very good specific forecasts. The forecasts on them are typically automatically generated so there is little to no human logic, reason or analysis involved.
I would not trust any specific snowfall accumulation amounts given by one of these apps, especially in a situation like this where things are changing with each model run and nothing is really certain right now.

Yeah. I couldn’t live up there. That week we had a couple years ago at and below zero actual temps was a nightmare. We had to take turns going outside and breaking up the ice in the swimming pool and defrosting the water heater.
Our driveway was on an incline and many mornings my dad would be out there at 5 or 6am in freezing temperatures with the wind blowing, shoveling the ice and snow from it so that he could get from our garage to the road. I don't know how he did it. It was miserable.

Guess I got lucky. No precipitation in our forecast (central Oklahoma). Just below freezing weather for about a week or so.

Snow starting here at 8am. Current projections here are 8-12 inches today and 1-3 tomorrow

Just checked outside and it looks like we only got a light dusting so far.
Probably a good thing cantore wasn’t in Wichita last night or else he might have run out of semen. Pretty sure we had thunder snow through the night since I woke up to a few booms.

Just finished walking the dogs. No snow when we started, but my coat was covered by the time we got back home.
Snow is getting harder by the minute
It's here.

Good morning. I know this isn’t related to the freeze happening in the Midwest, but I need a little advice to make plans based on what I’m seeing on today’s radar in regards to the storms.
I have to drive from Jackson, MS, to Little Rock, AR, at noon. It’s a four hour drive right through the delta, which is where it seems the weather will be sketchiest during that time.
If I decided to wait it out; what time would it be safer to leave? Or, do I drive some and then stop for a while? Problem is there’s just about nothing in the delta and poor cell service so driving in those conditions alone with kids makes me very nervous.
Please give me advice as if I’m your wife, daughter or sister who you care about. Thank you.

I just had to silence my LENSalerts on my phone because they’ve been going off like crazy. 1-64 just shutdown, Westbound and Eastbound, out near The Parklands overpass.
Of course there’s folks in the JTown group that are like “Uhhh are the roads alright?”. No, motherfricker. They are not alright.

Yeah, in Louisville as well.
In Louisville this week and scheduled to fly out at 0800 today Sunday morning. Watching the weather and decided to drive to Atlanta yesterday afternoon and fly home to Nola from there. Looking at Louisville WX this morning, glad I left. Good luck this week.

Good thing you did. I’m pretty sure they’ve shut flights down at this point.
