My first reaction/question is another bird strike?!
What the frick are the odds on this?

Considering “survivor” is termed as “someone still breathing upon landing”, that really isn’t good IMHO.
Just because those 22 were still breathing doesn’t mean they make it. And it doesn’t look good for the 151.

Imagine getting all the way through your flight and that happens? Damn, what a way to go.

There are *usually* several redundancies on these aircraft for gear extension, so I’m curious what caused them to have no other option than a gear-up landing.

Would it be better to do a short field landing so that you have maximum distance of runway available for the slide?
I was thinking a large body of water nearby.

Ok, so it’s funny when you do it I guess?

So many questions on that one. It just doesn't seem like your normal belly landing attempt. They were hauling arse.

Everyone's a comedian...few are funny.

Absolutely terrible. These recent crashes are not helping my flight anxiety.

It seems there could be multiple nets that could pop up along the length of the runway to slow this plane down.

Give me an example of me making fun of people dying in a plane crash.

Some runways have an engineered materials arresting system, but that would do very little for something this fast and no gear down. Still, it would be better than a concrete wall.
