Psilocybin has been found to have a positive impact on patients suffering from treatment-resistant depression

Earlier this year, the Standard reported how scientists were trialling the use of psilocybin in treating anorexia patients. The condition has the highest mortality rate of all psychiatric disorders because of medical complications and suicide, but there is no pharmacological treatment.

Again, people will find any excuse to get high instead of dealing with their issues.

Purposeful and moderated use of psychedelics is probably a better treatment for mental maladies than any kind of pharmaceutical solution.

Just like anything else… moderation is key and so is location.

God put the fungus here to show us the way, I’m convinced of that.

You do not know what you speak of sir. Psychedelics when used in an apropriate manner are a pathway to dealing with our problems head on instead of fooling ourselves into thinking there are none.

Tim Leary discovered this at Harvard, but his later dicking around with LSD and getting into the late 60s hippie guru scene fricked it up for decades.
Also the government wasnt ready for that shite and Nixon declared him the "most dangerous man in America"

Anyway, he'd be happy to know we are eventually coming around.

I quit drinking within the past year and started taking mushrooms (not tripping balls every time) on the weekends and it’s been the best thing I’ve ever done for myself and my marriage. Do I miss the drinking? Sure, but once I started I didn’t want to stop.

I was never a daily drinker. Only on weekends, but I’d put the hammer down on Fridays and Saturdays

Was used by mankind for thousands of years, modern man just decided we were smarter than that and decided they were evil and dangerous. Just nannyism.

Ketamine has also been proven to correct depression in brains.

Last I heard, study is focused on "why?" so they can make drugs for it.

Burners always love to push a study that validates their abuse.

A lot of people micro-dose, don't even really feel or perceive any difference.

Is taking a plant or chemical compound to make you feel better really abuse if it has no noticeable negative impact on their life?

Americans love prescription drugs to make them feel better, emotional pain or mental distress are no less viable than physical pain.
