I mean. UW-Madison is offering a The Problem with Whiteness course next year. (Seriously)
And of course, it won't be taught by a white person. Which is interesting. How would a Problem with Blackness taught by whitey go?
Course a part of the African Cultural Studies

is Wisconsin really considered part of the "Midwest"?

Black students should be offered free tuition and housing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison because blacks were legally barred from education during slavery and UW-Madison remains out of reach for black students today, the student government said Wednesday.
I 100% support giving free tuition and boarding to anyone who was kept from Attending UW-Madison because they were held in slavery here in the US.

How about double the white kids tuition, and they can pay the black kids way for school, and then with their taxes when they graduate?

You serious Clark?

Why don't some of these students demanding free tuition for the black students just pay their tuition for them?
Exactly.
Just more of the same liberal mindset that they should help everyone, just with everyone else's money.

I see no problem with students wanting to fight against the absurd rising costs of tuition and to make higher education more accessible to lower socioeconomic students wanting to work hard.
To say that people based on skin color should get special treatment? Pretty sure that's racism

Madison had been liberal capital of Midwest for a while. I can't begin to tell you how many people in that town live in a fairy world

When i was in school there, they go into trouble for photoshopping a black student into some new student brochure because it was all white people in the picture. (I was there in the late 90s).
Truth.
Snopes
And it was a shitty photoshop job too.
D'oh.

To make things worse for embarrassed university officials, Shabazz happens to be a prominent African American student activist who has never attended a UW football game and is deeply involved in efforts to promote campus diversity.
Barrows said that Seltzer gave him a draft copy of the admissions packet with student football fans pictured on the cover. He said that when he saw all of the fans were white, he told Seltzer: “You can do better than that, Rob. Find something more diverse.” Seltzer said his office spent the summer searching for cover photos that would illustrate greater diversity at UW, where minorities are 10 percent of the 40,000 students enrolled.
When he could not find one, he approved adding Shabazz’s photo to the crowd scene and Friedman’s office created the image for the cover.
