Madison Brooks' father is suing virtually everyone involved in his daughter's death, including the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, bar who served the underage coed, the suspects who allegedly raped her and the Lyft driver who fatally struck her.

"Madison’s tragic death has taken a devastating emotional toll on her father, and that devastation continues each and every day," John Brooks' lawyer David Courcelle said in a statement to the media.

"It is now time to hold Reggie’s Bar, its employees, and others, responsible for their irresponsible actions and neglect of Louisiana’s drinking laws that led to the death of Madison.

"Reggie’s was notorious for serving underage individuals’ alcohol and this time, the ending was the tragic death of a beautiful and talented young lady, Madison Brooks."

John Brooks, who is Madison's biological dad, has been relatively quiet since his 19-year-old daughter, a sophomore at Louisiana State University, was allegedly raped in January after a night of drinking at Reggie's bar and later died after her alleged attackers let her out on a highway, where she was hit by a Lyft driver.

The legal action names nearly a dozen employees from Reggie's, which has been shut down by the state; Madison's alleged rapists; Lyft and the driver who hit Madison that night; and several insurance companies.

"Said defendants are justly and truly indebted, jointly, severally, and in solido unto plaintiff for the injuries, damages and ultimate death sustained by Madison," the lawsuit says.

Is he looking to remember his daughter on a yacht or a beach house?

I'm pretty sure the police determined the Lyft driver did nothing wrong.

Including the Lyft driver is a piece of shite move that makes me lose some compassion for this guy.

On the surface, it’s pretty fricked up to sue the Lyft driver. That person already has to deal with the trauma of knowing they hit someone and ended their life.

Sounds like the kind of guy who would raise a chick who would get shitfaced in a college bar in get into a car with a bunch of seedy looking strange men in the middle of the night.

if the police cleared the lyft driver I can't see that lawsuit going anywhere

the bar, owners, servers that night are all in the crosshairs but again, it's no longer a business, I guess they could sue Reggie's insurer

if she presented a fake ID than she has some culpability as well or if she had friends buy her drinks once in the establishment

as sad as it is, she does have some culpability in all of this, I thought she was going celebrate a friend's birthday, where was her friends or someone to make sure she got home safe after a night of heavy drinking based on reports

and do those boys have any decency that they couldn't have brought her somewhere safe after doing what they did to her?

Overboard? The driver is the one who hit and ultimately killed her. No different than if you were hit by another driver in an accident. Now, whether or not he was negligent is for the judge/jury to decide. But if I'm naming defendants the Lyft driver is the very first one
