Macau 11 Covid-19 cases and Hong Kong 155.

Does that strike anyone as unusual?
I know they did temperature scans at the borders in both places but that belies the claim of how much this virus can spread in the incubation period before any symptoms are present.
Casino's are already reopening in Macau with half the tables back in play.

Hong Kong shut down and enacted measures very early in the process. They went through the SARS scare awhile back and this wasn't their first rodeo, so most of their populace was already ready to deal with inconveniences.

If you look at the Johns Hopkins map there are large portions of China that show few or no active cases. It is hard to believe those numbers given what we are experiencing over here.

Macau was hit hard with SARS so they didn't frick around. Macau closed their boarders in January 22th, including all trade with Wuhan.
Within two days they closed all schools, movie theaters, clubs, bars, and canceled the Lunar New Year.
By the 24th- they were basically jailing Chinese and Korean nationals

I agree they went nuclear on this and that was the main reason for a limited number of cases but IF this was as contagious some claim and could be spread pre-symptomatic as easily they would have had more than 11 cases.

I think all elderly and people with underlying health conditions should quarantine. The rest of our population should go about our normal lives. We need more healthy people to get this virus so we can get rid of it.
