Anyone use both? How do they compare?
I’ve used Uber satisfactorily for a while but just received a special promotion from Lyft so may try it and keep both apps.

They are both pay day loan scams for the drivers.

Basically the same. It’s not complicated.

I use Uber weekly unless the surge rate gets out of hand.

lyft, in my experience, has better cars and drivers. it's usually, but not always, cheaper too.

i've had some very trashy drivers and cars with uber.

Lyft has a better intro deal for customers, IMHO. Lyft also has higher vehicle standards for their drivers. Uber has a better app, IMHO.

I used Lyft for a while when my Uber app crashed and kept using it until I got around to downloading a newer version.

I use Uber almost exclusively now. Mostly the drivers are cool and interesting, sometimes they're indifferent and would rather just get you to your destination, and sometimes (e.g. the woman who drove me yesterday) the drivers are batshit crazy.

You just never know.

Luff seems to offer better deals more frequently. They constantly send promo codes.

What's the pay rate for them? I was under the impression the driver gets 25-30% of the trip cost....

Is closer to 65%. Driver gets 75% of milage and time. But the rider also pays fees that the driver gets none of. I think it's fair though.

Tell you what. Take your financed car and go drive for one and report back when you’re in the black.

In my experience Lyft has been cheaper and the drivers have been better. Lyft also apparently treats its drivers much better.

I’ve had a few Uber drivers whose cars were dirty and smelled of smoke or dog. Had one lady who made me late to work because she had to drop off her kid en route.
