My dive buddy wears one and it’s a waste.

Take the money and put into a legit dive computer or an additional back up computer.

Yes. Pros: Durable and you can tell time in the dark. Cons: None I can think of

Modern dive computers have made them obsolete IMO.

I've got an all black edition - I like the casual look and the lum.

Downside is I don't feel very comfortable with the non-sapphire crystal's durability.

Good watch but they got into the “watch of the SEALs” thing real heavy a few years ago and that kind of got old.

CSB. Buddy of mine who was an 18D with 5th SFG bought one when he was drunk one evening. Never looked at the back of the watch. Proudly showed it to us the next day, still hungover, and one of the other guys said “isn’t that the SEAL watch?” He took it off and flipped it over and the back has a giant Trident and something like “official watch of the Navy SEALs” written on it. He took it back to the jeweler and asked for a plain back. They didn’t have one. He asked them to grind the engraving off, they wouldn’t. Everyone in his unit made fun of him as a SEAL wannabe after that.

Only if they buy them with their own money, Resco was started and is run by a SEAL and produces watches "inspired" by his work, he offers them at discount to SEALS and other military personal but they are in no way "official equipment" of the SEAL teams.

So much bullshite in here.

The most prevalent two watches in combat arms from regular ole infantry to special operations are Suunto and G-Shock.

I've had 3. Really like the looks of them. But their reliability is horrid other than the glow. The first one I owned was a great watch. The next two had their seconds hands freeze up and refuse to move within the first 2 years. I will no longer buy them because there's lots better watches for your money than Luminox
