No, that isnt how it works exactly

You have to get an approved exemption, which will be the same here

Can we stop calling this a vaccine. It does not prevent a person from getting Covid. It is a booster for the immune system.

For those complaining: once it’s given full FDA approval, what would make this any different than the other vaccinations LSU has required for decades?

Also, with the LSU exemption request for currently mandated vaccines, students are not allowed to go to class when there is an outbreak

covid-19 is currently an outbreak, so while you could request the same exemption, you would not be allowed on campus right now

Kids that filled out the mumps exemption faced issues a few years ago

Tate preaches CRT his whole life only to get promoted to president and persecute the minority students/employees.

Classic liberalism.

That IS exactly how it works. Been there, done that. All 4 kids had their childhood vaccinations, but records weren't handy, so simply signed a form before they started attending. Never had to update it, never had to get it approved, nada. And no, they weren't in the state database either as they were born/immunized in other states.

everyone with even a little bit of authority now feels the need to "mandate" something.

Whether it's the president of the country or the manager at the local mom and pop.

also, why hasn't the term "MANdate" been cancelled?

Well the Mumps vaccine has been around and approved since 1967. The covid "Vaccine" has not been approved, and has been around less then a year.

Give me a bit, but while I do some research, tell me about the timeline and trials that the mumps vax went through prior to FDA approval.

You think this sort of mandate will be unique to LSU?

LSU is leading the charge

Just the other day I looked up a list of colleges and universities that are already requiring the vaccine. It's so long it isn't even worth reading through.

Its a request for exemption, that is how it works. Says it directly on the paperwork here

quote:

The above-named student requests an exemption for the following vaccine(s) (check all that apply):

LSU vaccine exemption request form

And you will be allowed to do this with covid vaccine as well, but notice this on the form?

quote:

I understand that if I claim exemption for any of the reasons stated above, I may be excluded from campus and from classes in the
event of an outbreak of measles, mumps, rubella, or meningitis until the outbreak is over or until I submit proof of immunization.

There is currently, and will be forever I imagine, covid cases on campus. So sure, you can fill out this exemption form and be accepted, and under the same guidelines they have always had you will never be allowed on campus

If you think they will be in the minority, you are going to be upset

how do you stop a kid from being on campus? how do you stop a kid from going to class with a 100+ students in stadium seating? Tracking devices inserted with vaccine next.

Well since you ask, just like cars, car insurance and other costs of kids. If I tote the note I make the rules.

I agree with you. What I'm saying to all of these folks who are sending their kids elsewhere because of this news, look how many colleges and universities are ALREADY requiring the vaccine pre-approval. Once it gets fully approved it'll be added to the vast majority of college/uni immunization requirements.
