This is bullshite. My daughter is a freshman. You have to opt out BY signing up to take scheduled weekly tests.
She schedule her first test at Coates Hall this week and is still getting threatening texts from the university.

Why are other public universities in Louisiana not doing this at all?
Delgado has 25k student and ZERO mandates. ULL and SELU have over 15k each and no weekly tests.

I am vaccinated, and support vaccination. That said, the emerging myocarditis data suggest the risk is greater for adolescent and young adult males than we have previously been led to believe. That’s one reason why mandates are inappropriate. Yes, there is an opt-out form, but institutional talk of mandates needs to stop. Vaccine mandates by institutions are not legally imposed in Louisiana. They can only mandate the submission of documents. Those are not the same thing.
