Question for the OT. Did LSU (either the University, TAF, Athletic Dept) make a donation to Black Lives Matter? I thought this happened around the time of lighting up Tiger Stadium in support of George Floyd and putting Black Lives Matter on the scoreboards, websites, etc. But someone says they didn't make a donation. Does anyone know?

TIA

I'm convinced that most people and LSU and other universities don't understand the BLM link to Marxism and domestic terrorism. They are angry about police brutality (as they should be), but aren't really looking into what BLM actually stands for.

Virtual signaling aholes with no clue as to the bottom line agenda of these neo Marxist.

Everyone is in such a rush to virtual signal they look past all of the bad crap that is in the fine details of the BLM agenda.

BLM has a name that is accurate as the German Democratic Republic (east Germany).

Disappointed with LSU.

I think there is a definite definition for some between BLM as a statement and BLM as an organization.

I generally feel we should find a way to improve the lives of our fellow Americans and maybe reassess how we police this country, (I think generally cops do what we ask them to do, so we need to reassess what we ask them to do)

BLM as an organization is absolute off the reservation:

A few edge cases does not mean there is sweeping police brutality in our country.

People are supporting “Black Lives Matter” when they really think “Black lives matter”

It’s actually a great tactic by the Marxists.

Money or not, they haven’t come out and formally distanced themselves from the organization that supports abortion, nuclear family destruction, transgenderism, prostitution, reparations, and the abolition of police so I’m led to believe they support that as well.

I know a few former citizens of East Germany that would question this premise.

i disagree 100%. It is not my job to improve fellow Americans lives. Responsibility is something that used to be taught to kids growing up. Some time 10-40 years ago things changed and you get what we have today. A bunch of idiots who feel other people owe them something.

Thanks LBJ.

Why should they be? Police brutality is factually rare. What point does it serve to be angry about rare events while ignoring more common events that lead to worse outcomes?

BLM is a movement as well as an specific organization.

I think most people support the general ideas of "Black Lives Matter" as a concept and theory.

When it comes to the specific organization with that same name, yeah, a lot of the stuff they stand for is pretty scary.

LSU has not disavowed BLM the Marxist front organization or any association with it. Which means the LSU powers that be are sympathetic with the whole BLM agenda, as are most universities..I have lost all respect for LSU. They have become a blight on our society.

Life isn’t fair get over it.....

Should we strive to eliminate overt racism? Absolutely
However, every single person on earth has some inherent bias to people who look like they do. It’s human nature, and no amount of tinkering with things or placating one group will change that.

nothing in this world is fair regardless of race. People make their own choices which lead to their own success or failures
