My friends and I were actually thinking about going into the stadium last week at night during the snow storm. Long story short we did not go and looking back I am glad we did not. Why is the security so strict about it now? I have heard stories about people hanging out in the stadium at night with no worries. Any of you baws snuck into Tiger Stadium?

No, but you should try the abandoned field house. They definitely didn’t put cameras up in there to catch LSU students trespassing.

Blame ULL fans who started this in overdrive about a decade ago (frick I’m getting old) by sneaking in and setting fire to a concession stand a week before the season.

Late 90’s and early 2000’s we used to go in all the time to run stadiums. Damn, we were in good shape.

I had sex on the field. If there had been cameras back then I’d like to see the film.

We went in a few times in 85 from a small opening on the inside of South Stadium dorm where we lived. It was like Escape From Alcatraz. We had fun but were careful not to abuse our access. Never left a trace behind.

They tightened security a lot following the string of vandalism incidents last year. They have rent-a-cops in the stadium every night and monitor those cameras religiously. For a while they were charging people with felonies for breaking and entering. I'm not sure if they still do that. Anyone who tries to break in now is a moron.

It’s a long long time from the days where it was padlocked, but everyone knew the combination was 1958

The night before my first day at LSU in 2007 me and a friend walked in to an open ticket gate on the east side of the stadium. We walked right on to the field and smoked a cigarette and drank a beer on the eye of the tiger. It was an awesome experience especially since they won the national championship that year. We stayed there for about an hour and walked out.

It just takes 2 ULL/Tulane students with a 2 gal can of diesel and 4 cans of spray paint to cause >$10k in damages.

I was in college 91-96. We did many times. It was fairly easy.
One night we camped out for Indy Bowl tickets (sounds strange to say) and we went in the stadium around midnight... there were at least 50 people in there.

Well, with all of the people breaking in and having sex on the 50 yard line (allegedly), the grounds crew was having a difficult time keeping the grass from dying in that spot..

early 90's crawled in through the dorm windows. no problem at all. actually drag raced lawn mowers that were there from goal line to goal line.

blades were not down. no damage done. except for the hangover the next day.

In 1998 I was walking past the stadium on the way from class, and noticed a gate open. I went in and walked right onto the field. Hung around for about five minutes; didn't see another soul. I saw it open other times but that is the only time I ever went in.

Hell, you were welcomed with open arms and added to the gameday attendance that season.

Back in the day, there was always a gate open and you could go in and look around. But it was locked at dark.

Can you still go take a look during the day without getting arrested?
