A Baton Rouge man has been arrested after deputies conclude a narcotics investigation into distribution of marijuana in a LSU off campus residential area. On January 20, deputies with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on Brett Labasse, 20, of the 500 block of Ben Hur Rd, after agents made an undercover purchase of marijuana from him at his residence.

After a search, Labasse was allegedly found in possession of 3 pounds of marijuana located in a Yeti cooler. According to authorities, the pot was valued at $8,000.

According to authorities, agents also seized close to $30,000 which Labasse allegedly admitted to deputies was proceeds from selling drugs.

Needs to go in Witness Protection after being a snitch. Knew one guy who snitched and no one has heard from him in years.

That ~$6/gram, ~$21/8th.

Is this guy peddling dirt? Can't be good.

I used to deal weed in college. Usually my guy would bring everything to me but this one time I went to him. My partner and I loaded with a few suitcases with 36 lbs of weed and drove 1.5 hrs back to our college town. Needless to say it was the quietest and most nerve racking drive of either of our lives. We made the decision to do this during rush hour as we thought it would lessen the risks. Looking back on it after 15 years it was probably one of the stupidest things I've ever done. There's even more stories I could tell during my time as a drug dealer of close calls.

Should've kept it in an igloo cooler. Being too flashy always tips the pigs off. Kid's an amateur.

If he is moving that kinda weight, he's gonna want to STFU real quick. He's not just buying that from a dude across town. It still blows my mind how these guys sell to Narc's... Apparently he's too stupid to make it in "the game".

No, it's probably good. But that is the first time I've seen a news outlet list the correct wholesale price on pounds of weed. Though in all reality, even most "good weed" in Nola is mediocre. And I had good connections when I lived there. Unless it's grown locally, it's usually improperly stored and several months old.

I will say, I've seen much better weed overall in Mobile than in Nola. But I had really good connections over there. But in the South, the best weed is coming from around Western Carolina. By far.

That was a good move. But a small dose of valium or Xanax would've be required for me. That much weight, my hands would've been shaking the entire time.

Hell, just having three joints and a couple of cookies I made, and driving through Kansas with Colorado plates, was the scariest experience of my life. I was a nervous wreck.
