Has there been a big issue to use to assess him?

Exactly. And honestly, its entire premise is difficult for anyone not an expert in that field to wade through.

From what I understand, it was rooted in academia (hence the difficulty in understanding the movement in its entirety) as an alternative means to study race on social terms instead of strictly biological terms. It has since been highjacked by white liberals and conservatives alike as a catch all for all things related to teaching race relations to K-12 kids. As an ideologic concept, it was never designed to be used in that fashion.

Again, I am by no means an expert and would never pretend to know all of the inherent beliefs of this movement. Unlike the extremists on both sides of this "argument" shouting each other down at school board meetings to promote their own agenda under the guise of CRT.

Let's not forget he also allowed Woodward to hire an old white guy as the next head coach. Honestly, he's been surprisingly not a disaster.

Rumors are that his office were the ones that leaked the hire to try and sabotage it.

Imagine if everyone who prejudged someone had to line up to apologize as soon as it seemed they were wrong. I'd love to see the line at Kavanaugh's and Rittenhouse's homes.

As for Tate, it is obvious from this thread that the opposition to him was not race based but philosophically based. How about those that claimed it was race based line up to apologize to Tate's opposition?

As for Tate specifically, it is only the beginning. Let's see how it goes over the next couple of years.

Well this just threw a big ole wrench in the OTs narrative now didn't it?

To be very fair, this is pretty surprising based upon what we knew about him going in.

Thus far Pres Tate has done a pretty decent job and said all the right things. Hope this continues.

because he is against renaming a building that should have been bulldozed 15 years ago?

maybe the guy realizes he should lay low because he has a job he shouldnt have, which is good

Tate said he would have consulted experts on what effects building names with problematic histories have on the community.

It's actually not even close to being the thing I often hear it portrayed as. Debate is good. Informed debate is better.

How is it possible to debate an ideology with data and science that has become grounded in an antipositivist epistemology?

Not really. CRT posits that the fundamental organizing principle of society is racism. All inequity in society comes from systems of the status quo and through these systems the white ruling class consolidates power to maintain their advantages over other races.

Yeah. Anyone who went all in on the CRT/anti-white bullshite like he did always, always, always has an ulterior motive.

I don't trust a single person who believes in CRT.
