LSU PD investigating dorm burglaries

Know it’s hard for people to fathom but not every person on campus is associated with LSU. A lot of shitheads from Baton Rouge come to campus to scope out crimes of opportunity.

It should be easy to determine if he was allowed in by a resident or if he got in on his own. If the former, there should be some serious disciplinary consequences. If the latter, it was a serious security breakdown by LSU. Back in the day anybody could pretty much wander into at least the boys dorms, but Baton Rouge is not the same kind of place it was then. You can't lock down a whole campus but it has to be heavily patrolled and the living spaces must be absolutely secure. This guy could just as easily been another Derrick Todd Lee.

These types also go to LSU now. This is what happens when you lower entrance requirements. You people more interested in being dipshits than education.

These are the Honors Dorms. They were renovated about 10 years ago, so much better than most of the dorms on campus, and they have heavy security doors to access almost anything, including the individual rooms and the building itself. It requires 3 card scans to go from outside the building into one of the individual floors then into a dorm room. Not sure how this guy was breaking into individual dorms, he must have found or stolen someone’s TigerCard and figured out what room they lived in in West Laville, then used the card to get into the room. But they didn’t put any of that info on the card back then, so not sure how he figured that out
