What confirmation is there that she did this?
Just read the thread. A preponderance of evidence, pattern of behavior, motive and lack of any actual culprit that would do it.

I'll admit that minority scholarships are indeed biased.
However, AA is really not as prevalent as you might believe. The truth is that the best candidates typically get the jobs. By far, other groups significantly get into better positiona that blacks via their own efforts or network.
I'm not saying AA doesn't exist or have impact, but as a whole it doesn't hold true power.
As for the woman who started this, I hope she didn't do it. If she did, she needs to realize that creating problems never solves problems

I think that calendar and the thing from the door are both written by more than one hand. The quote at the bottom is definitely somebody else's handwriting...a few of the Birthday annotations (based on "y" matching the one in the quote).

they indeed have a seat at the table
All of this isn't about black or white, really. Race and racism are just being used as a means to an end.
What this is really about is who is going to have the say-so about who 'sits at the table'.
The whole thing is just politics masquerading as social justice.
If it were purely about social justice, wouldn't be all the veiled and not-so-veiled talk about power and systems and tables.

What is this table? I've never seen it. I've heard of it I'd love to be at this table. But does it actually exist?

Man, I don't want to live on this planet anymore. One can see that there is obviously a racial problem in this country. There is obviously a disparity in the percentages of minorities being successful vs. living in poverty/crime. And sure there are tons of racist attitudes from whites, just as there are racist attitudes from minorities. But where did we cross a line that you can't even have an opinion anymore unless it lines up with the minority's opinion without being labeled a racist. This guy is trying so hard to be "moderate" about it, but he still can't hide his true sentiment of "if you don't believe in black lives matter or reject every call of racism, you are racist and ignorant". Maybe realize that is just your opinion. It may be right and it may be wrong.
Besides true skin head/Nazi/klan MFers, white people have nothing to gain by "keeping the black man down". We have no issue with everyone succeeding. Why would we institutionalize racism? Society may stereotype based on personal experiences. And that may be bad for certain groups. But how do you combat that at an "institutional" level without changing the basis for the stereotype? If the stereotype is not real, then it should fade. It may not be 100% fair that one must overcome the stereotype, but it is easily combated.

The majority of blacks are far more biased and hateful than a majority of whites. There are exceptions in both cases, but 8 years under a black president and racial tensions are worse now than ever before. Evidence of which side of the aisle isn't practicing what they be preachin'.

This all day. They preach "equality" and "Justice" but only if that equality and justice promotes and moves THEIR agenda forward.

well the argument of persons in the victim industry (it's not just minorities) usually goes something like this: the structural inequalities of society were created by the dominant groups (straight, white, males are the apex) and limit the opportunities of whichever marginalized group is making the argument. due to this, the only way that equality can be achieved is by forcing society (pretty much via government) to strip away these privileges in order to decrease the structural inequalities. only then can the marginalized be given the opportunities to play on an even playing field and find "equality"

Its' not about race anymore, it's about class. That's the point that is lost on all these fools.

I agree with the concept of what you're saying, however, they use race as means to gain an edge on class. The standard for class use to be on ability and earning it. Only racists use race as a means to get something that they're to lazy to earn.

This dumb hoe has an column in the student paper and still claims to have no voice.
There's just no reasoning with people like her. They won't listen to facts or logic. Statistics are racist, and white people are racist until proven otherwise.

quote:
quote: All white people aren’t evil. Actually, there are some outstanding, understanding and selfless white people in this world, many of whom I call my classmates, friends and colleagues. Those same compassionate white people understand, and many times join black people in their disgust with the racial inequality gap. They don’t try to silence or combat the black voice. They’re seen at marches and protests, speaking out against the injustices they witness. They’re around. I see them all the time. On the other hand, racist white people are also around, and I also see them all the time. It needs to be understood that racism isn’t just saying, “I hate black people.” There’s this thing called institutional racism that often goes overlooked. It’s a form of racism that supports the thoughts and actions that implement disparities among the races, both politically and socially. The same people who perpetuate racism like to believe black people create their problems in their heads. They believe if you don’t speak about it, it won’t exist. But no, there’s just reasons why black people are more “woke” than some of their white counterparts. For starters, it’s because they want to understand and contribute to the narrowing of the racial inequality gap, so they educate themselves and acknowledge what is happening in their environments. Secondly, many African Americans know they will have to interact with white people on a regular basis. As a minority, their best option is to interact with and understand white people. Black people don’t make these issues up in their heads. Many are actually paying attention to what’s happening in this country. Unlike some white people, who know they may never have to interact with a black person in their lifetime, and therefore refuse to understand the fight and outrage.

I think she misinterprets her not having a voice with people hearing her voice and not giving a shite.
I hear you loud and clear sweetheart. I just don't agree with, approve of, or give a shite about your opinions.
I'm sure you don't think your (reasonable) opinions should make you a shitty person. Well, my (reasonable) opinions shouldn't make me a shitty person either.
