I'm sitting at the table with your cousin now (as well as A's family & close friends).... and yes, she is incredibly lucky. Just a correction, the surviving girl was in the water 10 minutes or so when they pulled her out - and thank god for the stranger who risked his life to save her... we could have lost more than one friend this weekend.

They were in Ocean Beach in San Diego for whoever asked. Standing not on the beach, but on top of a popular residential cliff/rock area where locals watch the sunset everyday. The SD news article has the exact location listed but I won't list it here. The waves and weather have been unpredictable here, which probably had a lot to do with the unruly waves. The cliffs they were on weren't wet while they were standing there, until the one huge wave came and swept three of them in the water (a male, who got out very quickly is not mentioned in the article). It's not like they were close enough to the water that they would have imagined this would happen.

Truly unpredictable.... and a tragedy. RIP AT. Beautiful heart and soul.

Thank you for the correction. I misunderstood. Please, don't tell my cousin this is being discussed on this forum. Idk why, but I feel like she wouldn't like that.

I'm sorry if you were there as well. Just know we are all keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Very sorry.

Both of these "likes" are wrong, I agree.

This one, however, is grammatically correct, although perhaps a more proper wording would have used "as if" instead of "like".

They weren't on a rock from what I've gathered. Embo addressed this above.

i looked further and have been to the spot they were at. It is a cliff, but it's not what you're envisioning. It's seemingly far out of the way.

Was this in the Ratkey Point area? From the video it seems it may be.

I'm pretty sure my cousin was dating this girl. I just heard his girlfriend drowned yesterday, so I assume this is the same girl.
