I just had to explain why I spit beer everywhere laughing.
That was funny.
Edit:
Thoughts and prayers go out to the loved ones affected. It is always horrible to see someone that young die.

The one who survived is my cousin. Really really terrible. please keep her in your thoughts.
The girl who died was her best friend. She was saved and then when the man went back out for the other girl, it was too late. Im sure she is dealing with a lot of guilt.
And the guy who saved them wasn't a lifeguard I don't think. Just a guy out there.
They were all out there for some sunset pics and then a 15 foot wave hit, knocked them over, then a second one came and took the 2 girls. My cousin was in the water for 10 min before being saved. She's extremely lucky.

She's a mess right now. Very lucky to have 0 injuries. They were best friends since their time together at LSU. My heart really hurts for her. So sad.
And thank you. She needs all the prayers she can get. The poor girls family too.

They said the water had 2 feet of foam and once the girls were out there the weather got pretty bad. They were floating for nearly an hour in 15 foot waves and the current taking them up and down. Terrifying
Also, this article sucks. They were with a small a group. Not just the 2 of them. Guys were with them also.

Those lifeguards that pile into water like that to save someone are seriously bad arse.

Yea they are. Apparently this was really shitty conditions too that kept progressing. He's a hero. I really don't think he was a lifeguard though. I could be wrong..

Your third "like" is grammatically correct. And you'll have to excuse her; she just watched her friend get carried out to sea and slowly drown.

Not sure. My aunt called yesterday. Most places with those cliffs and whatnot are near La Jolla though.

Maybe in January. I've been in the summer and it's not bad.

Actually that was a bystander

Good point. Well excuse her, she just watched a random woman slowly drown.
Also, this article is a bit more accurate. The guy who saved her wasn't a lifeguard.

Even the ocean wants none of that

I saw this on the news this morning, had no idea they were from LSU. The weather has been really bad this weekend. Wind gusts were 55 mph and the waves were really nasty this is so sad.
From the news this was over in Ocean Beach.

Hammer
She did not go in.
She was not even down at waters edge. A "rogue" took her and her friend.
after a storm the waves will include really big ones. Prayers for her parents.
