Easy to tell the ones that had to pay to join a club so they could have friends in college.

Lofton can’t hire enough dirtbags to provide security and therefore gave up the contract.
It’s time that a team of HOA officers form a small security contractor force to help serve and protect those Greeks.
What the hell does LSU mean nobody else will do it? Nobody contacted me.

This may come as a surprise to you, but we had friends outside of the fraternity. But all the sorority girls you wished you could frick...we got to frick. It’s pretty easy to see why you’re angry.

You're so proud that you got to frick sorority girls.
Newsflash honcho, we fricked em, too. We just didn't have to join a club and pay money to do it.
Someone talked shite back and you got defensive. Love it.
ETA: It reads as if you had to join a club so you could frick girls.

Just file this bullshite response with “It could have been me” and “I have seen better in the Quad” as overused meaningless sayings that I guess make you chuckle to yourself. But it’s stupid and without meaning. As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, I had friends when I got to LSU and made new friends in other fraternities as well as ones who weren’t in fraternities. But the fraternity did allow us to pool money and organize social events and activities that I never could have experienced without the fraternity. There was a reason that everyone on campus was fighting to get into our house for South Seas and Jam Jam. Because we had the best bands, the best booze and the hottest girls all in one place. When you pay a cover charge at a bar and $10 a drink to be around those things, are you “buying friends?”

I have not read the whole thread.
It seems to me as if the LSU hierarchy is not playing the long game. Whether you like Greeks or not, the reality is that they will graduate and move on to prosper.
LSU will begin asking them for money. People who feel that they were mistreated, or abused, are very unlikely to give them any money.
The way LSU is handling tailgating, from these kids, to Joe Average, is an abortion. It is a short-sighted money and power grab. The list of people giving up their season tickets is growing.

Id still tailgate. Its not like security is gonna be there to do anything.

LSU is now saying they can't tailgate at all
Sounds like some Commie playbook shite right there.

You morons going back and forth with the "lol paying for friends" and "lol GDI" aren't seeing the bigger picture. This is all part of Alleva and gang's plan to turn game day into an entirely corporate experience. Fraternities and sororities were just an opportune target at the time. Eventually they'll come for your tailgates too, the same way they came for these. They'll tell you that you have to go online and reserve a tailgate spot, which will have a fee. You'll have to pay for a permit to cook, or have to pay a security fee if you're going to have alcohol.
Who cares if you were in a fraternity or not? You laugh at them now because it's not happening to you, but it's just one part of their playbook. Everything they do is seen in terms of how much they can charge you for that. They don't give a rat's arse how long you've been tailgating in your spot.

Upvote. You are 100% correct. But you didn’t need to call me a moron. Harsh.

My point exactly. They appear to be trying to manipulate the whole campus- from student activities to public sporting events- into something different from that which it’s traditionally been.
Eliminate certain groups they don’t want participating to make room for those they do. Social engineering, if you will.

Why wouldn’t you just have a friend outside a fraternity hold a tailgate let’s say on the old front 9? Don’t wear any letters. No one would know the difference. Maybe not be so obvious with it.

Interesting, indeed.
Leads me to suspect you were in a fraternity...

First, they came for the Greeks, and I didn’t speak out because I was not a Greek, but I was jealous of them. They’ll come for you soiboys next.

I've been seeing that clever insult recently.
What is a soiboy?
