This dude is going to get cancelled for telling the truth. How did someone with this realistic of an outlook get into the faculty at PC LSU?
This dude spitting the truth but he will be banned for it.

LSU Criminologist Dr. Peter Scharf is angry, more than that he’s frustrated with the plans of law enforcement, the justice system and politicians on how to stop New Orleans' spiraling crime rate.
“We have voodoo criminology directing our fate. Together with a lot of plans,” Scharf says, “One, they don’t coordinate. Two, it’s not clear that anybody is using any science to control this mayhem [it’s] a Cheshire cat going in different directions.”
Another week of violence, capped off by a weekend which saw six people shot and two killed in one incident in the St. Roch neighborhood, which has become a hotbed of violent activity and a double shooting on along the tourist heavy stretch of clubs and restaurants of Tchoupitoulas Street in the Warehouse District.
“Our murder rate over the week beat Chicago and when you beat Chicago in terms of murder you’re in trouble.”
Dr. Peter Scharf says plans being put forth by law enforcement or politicians are flawed for one basic reason: “The plans are charitably political plans,” Scharf emphasizes. They’re not really operational plans. They largely ignore the police. They won’t share information, they won’t coordinate with the police.”
Scharf says any plan that de-emphasizes the role of the police department and does not have a timetable to meet objectives will not be successful.

God bless this man. Unfortunately, this will fall on deaf ears.

Haven’t like 5 people been shot driving on the interstate in Nola from stray billets so are this year?
I used to love this city but this city and state (Shreveport & BR) has turned into a complete shithole.
Democrats in charge will help for sure though. We’re getting lapped by Mississippi and Texas keeps creating a larger separation with Louisiana.
Hate to say it but we’re abandoning ship and moving to Florida in a month where the Governor just lifted any snd all restrictions.

I was told yesterday it is 7 people and that it may not be random / stray bullets at all. More like someone is enjoying shooting up cars.

But the really important part is that we took down all the statues and renamed all those streets. Obviously once the thugs hear that news, they’ll lay down their weapons and become contributors to society.

This article does not exist on Twitter, that I could find, which is odd.

The Soros-controlled DA and City execs are trying to ramp up violent crime as an excuse to implement draconian gun restrictions.
Vilify/ignore police, leading to resignations, lower police, lower quality, leading to more gun crime that seemingly cannot be solved any other way.

The way you end this is the same way the left behaves. If this guy gets fired we all need to band together and come to his defense. Start calling all of the sponsors of LSU and demand he be given his job back, as well as emailing LSU telling them we will never spend another dime on LSU if they don’t reinstate him.
Fight fire with fire.
Fight fire with fire.

well, well....you can also thank the newly minted New Orleans DA, Mr. Jason Williams. His style of self made 'King' of retroactively reviewing convictions and letting these folks out or reducing sentences iw certainly being talked about in the criminal community of New Orleans. If you don't think 'word' on the street is a myth, you are kidding yourself. New Orleans in now firmly on the road to 'shithole'. Feel very bad for NOPD and those guys who hold the line on the arrogant, young, ignorant perps they have to deal with day and night. Sorry for what used to be a beautiful. fun, interesting place to go and visit for many.

He must already be cancelled as he is nowhere to be found on LSU's website.

He is at the LSU School of Public Health in New Orleans.

My LSU CJ degree (88) got me into the Feds where I had one hell of a good career. It’s nice to see that old department still stands for something that isn’t woke BS.
Marginalizing Police is exactly the wrong path to take when you have a crime explosion. Cops need to be out in the communities meeting with real people so they can know what’s actually going on.
NOLA will marginalize the cops.

And the residents who have a job are fleeing Orleans Parish in numbers not seen since the 1980s.
