Violent crime will always manifest itself in New Orleans. Nobody is ever changing that.

This dude is going to get cancelled for telling the truth. How did someone with this realistic of an outlook get into the faculty at PC LSU?
It's getting increasingly rare for men to have balls today when communicating with the media. Good on him. He is right.

It’s too bad the local media. WWL Radio, the Advocate NOLA.com, and all the other pussies in this city won’t speak up.
Such a terrible situation and none of the spineless media will report on the severity of the situation
Y’all are only reading about the few isolated incidents that are happening
There are multiple other incidents that are happening daily and nightly that aren’t hitting the airwaves bc the NOPD and local media won’t report

If I was Lee I would be happy to get the hell out of NOLA. The city has become a blueprint for the destruction of society.

Posters on sites like this one are not surprised at what is happening in New Orleans.
Murders are what make the news but there is other stuff happening that impacts people day to day. Car jackings for example, have increased 62% in the past year. It’s been widely reported but people in New Orleans just like to bury their heads in the swamp.
Car jackings LINK
It’s been posted on this site. I’ve posted first hand accounts of families that have been impacted. I know of a few families that have moved out of uptown because of the crime. There are many more. I’ve talked to realtors who tell me that the crime is the best sales tool they have.
With the “leadership” in New Orleans, unless you have the means to live in Audubon Place or have some otherwise secured living arrangement, you’re relative increased risk of being impacted or harmed is just something you have to live with. The leaders are more interested in Criminal rights than citizens rights. They rationalize crime by blaming economic disparity or income inequality, wealth divide or racism or whatever rather than focusing on penalizing the criminal.
Paying taxes to the city is money down the drain imo.

I had a liberal blame the spike in violence on “income inequality”
And he was being serious.

No doubt he was being serious. This is the mindset being pummeled into peoples heads.
You have more than them so Let them steal your stuff!
From the Mayor to the police chief to the district attorney, the mindset is one of “progressive” reform to crime. Simply put-That means, less emphasis on punishment. More emphasis on criminal rights. More emphasis on the “why” and then correction based on race first and foremost.

But the really important part is that we took down all the statues
To be fair, none of those men were from Louisiana, and only Beauregard was from the state. Also, why did they erect statues dedicated to men who fought against the Unite States (and lost) in the first place? The answer to that question is the least SJW argument on why they (rightfully) came down.

But that's not why they came down.

Well, politics is a game you have to win and you have to know your constituency. I might give Landrieu's book a read, but I'm not really interested in the SJW aspect of something that was obvious and doesn't need to go beyond that.
