Thank goodness we have pristine, non-corruot state police force to investigate these terrible crimes!

Kinda like charging a 90 year old concentration camp guard.

Churches in Louisiana should not have one single tax exemption in Louisiana. Tax all of them so everyone is treated fairly.

But why do Catholics continue to support and essentially fund an institution that allowed this to happen and worst of all covered it up!!!

Why do you continue to support police when we know corruption exists. Teachers? Employers?
The reality is we live in a world where evil exists. We must continue to drive it out, but the evils of man do not make the institutions inherently bad.

She was. She showed up one day at a trial my daughter was involved in.
I asked the prosecution why she was there and they said she was representing the girls’ school.

Yep, this is why I stopped going to church. My personal relationship with God is the only thing that matters. I won't support these horribly corrupt and evil institutions anymore.

Yeah I get what you’re saying but The difference to me is a church is something I have 100% choice with. If the church I was a member of knew church leaders were committing heinous acts and not only knew but covered it up, then it would be a point of no return for me.

quote:this is misinformation- there was no cover up, that priest is in jail
even Lafayette just had a story of a deacon getting excommunicated by the bishop for speaking out about his own son being molested by a priest and the diocese covering it up.
The Deacon was excommunicated because he publicly announced that he was a member of another church that wasn’t Catholic

The Pope is just another gang banger, but he heads the worlds biggest gang of pedophiles and rapists that has ever existed and he protects them at all costs. Without the fear of retribution these evil creatures prey on the faithful and the ignorant without remorse.
Some time back, a successful young man from our community returned to visit his parents on the farm where he grew up. His proud parents took him to church with them to show him off to the parishioners and the community. When departing the church after services they were met at the church door by the priest and the young man proceeded to deck the priest with a single blow. The clueless old ladies of the community are still wondering why this former alter boy treated his former priest so grievously. ;-(

I used to feel the same way, and I lived out those same thoughts. I was only fooling myself though.
The Book of Hebrews calls Christians to “consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing” (Hebrews 10:24-25)
And if you're catholic, spcifically, well Canon Law is very clear.....

Are you kidding ????
I would not give a dime !!!!
Tell the Vatican to cut a check.
Tell them to cut two. The extra one to pay for the restoration of the cathedral.
