My German shepherd was awesome but I kept her from other people because she did not like strangers
However, an attack from her was nipping your shirt and dragging to the ground, not maiming and killing

You are correct, and that's because these other aggressive breeds can't do the damage that pits can do when aggressive. Chihuahuas are aggressive but they won't do much damage.
