never seen a pit bull in my neighborhood but we also don't have wheels on our houses so I wouldn't expect to see one

We had a chow when I was a kid. He hated everyone not in our family. Despised every other dog he saw.
That specific dog was flat out nuts. After a year or so, we gave him to a guy who lived way out in the country (really, not the old "sent him to the country" meaning he really went to the pound).
Never would own a chow again. I know it's anecdotal evidence, but I saw enough for me.

I agree what you’re saying about Chows. They’re mean as hell.
But they’re always mean. Pits can be as lovable as all the owners of pitbuls in this thread are saying. Until they’re not.

Hey guys, it's ok to have a chow because they're always mean. But, you should never have a pit bc they'll obviously kill you.

I used to work for an electric utility company. The meter readers always said the dog that worried them the most was a Chow.

Oh no! I said a minute once and two minutes this one other time!!
My dog isn't always animal aggressive, he thought the other dog was a threat. Would you have liked me to nicely ask the dog I had never seen to please stay out of my yard?

I haven't had complaints. I volunteer all the time. Done a lot of work for my cousin's school and my niece's schools as well. Lot of carpentry work for free just bc I have all the tools from back in the day.
Over thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, I served food and helped out the homeless. For Christmas, I "adopted" 2 families and bought them gifts. Not to mention, I always cut the old ladies grass next door to me and have since her husband died a few years back.
I'm not saying that makes me a "pillar of my community", but I'm not some piece of trash that you're trying to portray just because I own 2 pits.
Try not being such an idiot.
Eta - and I didn't even take pics to post to Facebook. I do it to help people out. Not trying to brag, but just pointing out what I do since you feel the need to try and shite on me.

FWIW, there is another dog that wanders around our neighborhood that is a 16 year old pointer. Both my dogs love her and play/greet her when she comes through our yard. The dog my dog bit was not friendly looking like her.
