Why is it so many people just HAVE to have a pit bull?
Because you don't generate respect walking around the neighborhood with a Puggle

My pit bull mix wouldn't harm a human unless provoked, and it would take a lot. Every dog is different and has their own personalities.
My dog loves to eat and attack all animals except horses lol. She is absolutely vicious against other animals but is a total darling to all humans. So loving and so caring.
Something is off with these stories and we don't get the full stories. Ever.
These "my dog would never" stories are nothing if not consistent
Of course we hear the same thing after one eats it's owner, but hey, they thing was cute and cuddly for 99.99% of it's life. We need to focus on the good times, not the "it just about ate the face off your kid" moment.

congrats on your killing machine baw. honestly, I'm not against the breed per say, and you may be right it may not ever even look sideways at you, your daughter, or anyone else. but for me, is it worth the risk and/or liability? i trust myself driving as good as anyone, even drive race cars, but you can bet your arse if i had a child he/she would be buckled up in a car seat rather than "aint no way in hell big daddy could ever have a wreck" shite happens man, and if it ever does, the results I'm afraid could/would be devastating. am i bashing? naw man, I'm kinda more of a to each their own type dude. my opinion doesn't out weigh anyone else's. i will also say, writings like this, won't help you from a legal standpoint should there ever be a day when things go haywire

Sorry, I snapped. I’m not usually like that. I’m a very gentle and loving guy. I wouldnt hurt anyone, only other animals. Not sure what got into me.

i see these small girls walking pits around the city. I usually go to the other side of the street. especially if im walking back from the store with some food. No way they could control that dog if it decided to take off after someone.

Have you met Owlfan?
Post was well done though.

My post is me understanding what my dog is capable of. Not bragging. And also knowing that I am always 100% responsible. Like I said before, my pit has never nor will never have any chance to do any harm to anyone. Only time he is around anyone, I am on top of him.

Why even bother with a dog that requires such attention around humans to keep him from attacking?

He also attacked a dog that came in our yard once. He thought he was protecting us. It was the other dogs fault.
but hes so sweet and wouldnt hurt anything. fricking classic.

I never said that? He will kill the shite out of an animal. Dog aggression and human aggression are completely different things. Look it up.
Also, it was the other dog's fault. Don't come in my dog's yard and you'll be ok

He doesn't require much attention around humans at all. I am only like that when children are around. He loves people. Just have to introduce dogs to him the right way or it can go badly.
And also because he's a fricking amazing dog and a badass. He takes down hogs twice his size

So I guess it’s okay to shoot your dog if he comes in my yard?

If you didn't try to do something to try to curb your dog's aggression, you're a pretty bad owner. Your posts sound like you enjoy it or encourage it.
You're going to end up in court, dude. Or end up with a dead dog.

If you're that big a pussy, go ahead. I might kill you afterward, but my dog would never be in your yard anyway. Also, you would be allowed to do that. Guy down the street killed one of my neighbors dogs for being in his yard cuz he is also a pussy like you

Jeez dude, calm down. How are they biased? It's the best available information, based on actual press reports.
If you have something better, other than personal anecdotes, then please share.

wtf are you talking about? I am literally the best dog owner I know. I stop every sign of bad behavior he ever shows. But one time a stray ended up in our yard while I was out with my dog, and he latched onto his face for like 2 minutes until I could get him off. The other dog was fine but he won't be visiting again.
