State Troopers standing in the road pulling over vehicles at HWY 42 and 73 (old Jefferson) in Downtown Prairieville.
No telling what loophole/excuse these arse clowns are using now to pull you over for your no longer valid break tag.

I honestly do not understand this states tint laws…….
It’s ok tho if u pay LSP and the give u a sticker. I guess as long as they getting there’s then they don’t care.

Was there this morning when the guy drove up. He's not checking tint. Honestly couldn't tell what he was looking for. My inspection sticker is out of date and my tint is very dark and he didn't bother me. It was odd though. Guy just walking up and down the yellow center line at the traffic light.

There’s no greater waste of public resources than traffic checkpoints and speed traps.
They are just a tax, mostly on law-abiding citizens.
Those resources would be better spent on crime prevention and investigations.

LSP's primary reason for existence is road safety. IMHO if they stop 30 cars and get one uninsured asshat off the road - it's a great use of tax payer money.

They aren’t getting shite off the road.
They may occasionally impound a vehicle, but all they have to do to get it out is provide proof of insurance, which you can get by paying one month of minimum insurance, and then canceling it.
They have a record of which cars in the state are uninsured. They would be better off going to those addresses and confronting them, rather than hoping to randomly encounter one in the wild.

Back in the 90's, I used to drive from Little Rock to Baton Rouge to spend the weekend with friends. On Hwy 61, somewhere between Vidalia and about an hour north of Baton Rouge, there was always a check point where the authorities wanted to see your driver's license. Not sure if it was when passing into MS from Vidalia, in MS itself, or when you going back into LA from MS. It was always on a Friday evening usually around 7 pm when I passed through (always without incident). This happened 3-4 times. Not sure what they were looking for that early in the evening. .
