I think the issue here is people scrolling through Facebook and seeing these pics who don't want to. It's not like there's a link to it. So if you scroll to it, you're going to see it, whether you wanted to or not. I know I wouldn't

I'm with you here. but to be honest, if I were to lose a child, I have no idea how I'd handle it. If I had to guess I'd say chances are I'd either be a shattered basket case or I'd just put my pistol in my mouth and end the nightmare. Point being, I'm not going to look down on how she's grieving because I have no idea how I'd handle what she's going though.

Yet I reported a page that had placed a image of Bobby Jindal's severed head on a stick in and it took a solid week for them to remove it and they did nothing to the poster of the image and did nothing to the group for allowing the image.

I don't see the issue either.
There are plenty of reasons to criticize social media use, particularly the attention-seekers who run rampant, but this isn't one of those. I've seen people use FB to grieve with surprisingly effective results.

Wife showed me a similar facebook page a few weeks back. Page was for a girl that had like 7 kids for 7 different fathers, I'm not exaggerating, and obviously had lot's of only God can judge me posts. Any way she lost a baby a day after it was born and the next few hours were her dressing the baby up and posting the pics on facebook. Some of the most sadistic shite I've ever seen. Then very typically she puts up a Go Fund Me page to cover the costs even though you know her arse is on the Medical Card and not paying a dime.

I don't see the issue.
People are way too offended and outraged these days.
My heart goes out to parents that have lost children. I respect the pride a parent has and the desire to memorialize a child even if it never got to live outside the womb.

attention whoring is attention whoring regardless of the reason for it. Its in poor taste and leads to a pissing match with other attention whores. FB should disable the account. Woman shouldn't have posted it.

I don't want to see those pictures but I like the level of Freedom of Expression on Facebook. I've seen some professional photographers' work with stillborns. It's impressive and the children look normal like sleeping babies, but totally creepy to me. Not my cup of tea AT ALL.

They should celebrate the kid and have a birthday party every year and if you are a friend or family member you are obligated to attend.

I was adopted to basically replace the child my parents loss due to natural causes shortly after birth, and I can tell you my adoptive mom never fully recovered from that tragedy. It's pretty sad to see someone carry so much pain for as long as she has. As a result she's become a hoarder over the years, and she's just not an easy person to be around.

A letter the other day was about a couple where the wife had a professional photographer take photos of the stillborn, but the husband felt it was all weird and a bit too much. Caused a rift.
It's obvious from those discussions and this thread that people have very different views on the propriety of such matters.
I fall on the old fogey side of keep that shite to yourself, but I try to understand that others have legitimate views to the contrary.

I personally think it's creepy as hell, but its not like they are hurting anyone. I would defriend with a quickness or just block them from my stalkerboard.

To all of you who say that you wouldn't want to see something like this on Facebook, just thank God that you have never been put in a situation like this. Would I choose to grieve in this manner? Probably not, but who the frick knows. Sorry if you feel put out, but if it helps them in some way, then who gives a shite. Maybe they just need your prayers.
