I think this is only true for cities that were running speed traps on the interstate. State Troopers said anything under 10mph over the limit goes to the state. Most of these small towns aren't on the interstate and will stop you for any mile over the limit.

Ding, ding, ding. The bill was primarily to avoid the bad press when people from out of state would get raped by small towns that would annex a short section of interstate to write tickets for 1 mph over. It doesn't apply to other roads. LA Revised Statutes 32:266

Drive through Pine Prairie, Port Barre, or Krotz Springs at 9 mph over and get back to us about what happens.

Dodson.

Some frickhead with a rosary tattooed on his neck pulled me over and gave me a ticket for doing 47 in a 45.

I'm surprised Baskin isn't on there. Every time I've been through there is a cop running radar or someone pulled over. Top 5 in LA IMO

Krotz Springs is another town you don't speed in.

We took the side by side to billy's a few weekends ago heading from buttoe la rose.

After we ate, we pulled a U turn on 190 and the cop abandoned writing a speeding ticket to follow us.

He nearly had an aneurysm when he saw it was legal.

Not legit without Woodworth on that list.

Should be #1. I used to run pipeline crews all up and down 165 and knew all about Woodworth. One day I got pulled over. My speedometer actually had me going less than the posted speed limit coming into town. Of course I was pizzed but being in LE when I was younger, I was going to be patient with the cop. He walks up to my window and informs me I was speeding in a work zone. I looked in my rear view and there were 2 orange cones with zero workers present. I said really. He said I was doing 10 miles over. I didn't even argue until he told me he was holding my DL until I paid since Texas drivers never pay. I was like, how am I getting it back then. He said they mail them back and I was like frick that. I went to the station and coughed up almost $200 and they got a big sign in their office that reads "we even give our mothers speeding tickets".

I'm from PR and it's always been known to stick to 45mph when in the city limits.... on that note I have heard recently about the towns people complain of a short PR cop that is getting his excessive with writing tickets.

If Port Vincent had more traffic, they would be near the top of the list. I have no idea what that little shithole town does with all that revenue.

So, I was familiar with Washington writing tickets for 76 in a 75 on I49. I assume this has stopped since the passage of the above law? I mean, at least I hope it has.

That fricker is always there. Drove through on Monday and will be driving through again tomorrow. He is always running at least two radar guns. The Ka band is always running and he will instant on you with his K gun. I set the cruise at 43 every time I go through that dump.

Yep. Goes from 65 to 35 often when you hit those small towns. Got popped in Gilbert at 10 PM once when my knee knocked the handle up to resume cruise. Didn't even try to explain my way out cause I had a good bit of pot and an LSU parking tag on my mirror. Wouldn't have mattered anyways. If they pull you over in that stretch you aren't getting back on the road without a ticket

frick them. They hide in the damn woods off 16 right where it drops to 45.I flip him off every time I see him and proceed to flash my lights to everyone within a mile

Wood worth was actually in some trouble for jailing a lady over a traffic citation if I recall. The story made national news and shed some light on how crooked their police force is. I always do 5 under driving through that hell hole.
