Louisiana Speed Traps

During the work week, I travel from northern St. Tammany down Hwy 41 to Slidell and just about everyday when I pass through Pearl River, PR's finest has someone pulled over (45 mph speed limit), so when I got to work, I did a quick search on speed traps in Louisiana and this is what I came up with.
Speedtrap.org
According to speedtrap.org, the above is a top ten list of the worst cities in Louisiana as far as speed traps. The website doesn't provide much more data as far as when the list was last updated or even when it was compiled. Obviously there's more little towns or cities that aren't listed that are known speed traps.
I also found an older article on nola.com that was written about 3 Louisiana towns that collect more in speeding fines than they do in taxes.

Out of the five municipal governments that reported collecting fines than taxes in 2013, three were small towns in Louisiana -- Henderson, (population 1,674), Pollock (population 485) in Grant Parish, and Olla (population 1,381) in LaSalle Parish.

Cities now have to peg you at 11 mph over to keep the revenue. So that helps

Not legit without Woodworth on that list.

No Golden Meadow. List is shite.

I've made the drive from Baton Rouge to Monroe about twice a month for the past 6 years.
I have only ever once seen a cop radaring in Clayton.
I see them 95% of the time in Baskin.
List has that stretch off - but the whole stretch is one big speed trap.

They slacked off a little when they were pumping in that oilfield money, not that the oilfield is in a slump they right back to writing tickets.

have a few camera tickets from City of Gretna. Never going back, never paying them. F Gretna.

Port Barre usually has a city cop sitting where it drops to 45mph in town. There's also usually a sheriff sitting before you get into town. Krotz Springs is another town you don't speed in.

List is NL without Woodworth/LeCompte.
And Morganza.

Does a single one of those shitholes have a population more than a couple thousand?
The best thing the Louisiana legislature has done in years is make it to where they don't get to keep revenue unless they clock you at 6+ mph over the limit. It ended a lot of the 1mph bullshite you saw in Washington, Port Barre, and Golden Meadow.
One of my friends was a Port Barre cop for a few months. He said he felt like a meter maid because the only true police work he did was writing bullshite tickets all day.

I think this is only true for cities that were running speed traps on the interstate. State Troopers said anything under 10mph over the limit goes to the state. Most of these small towns aren't on the interstate and will stop you for any mile over the limit.

Jeanerette should be on there as well with their marshals patrolling Hwy 90.

I pass through Dodson every weekend during deer season. I guarantee you I see the cop running radar 8/10 times I pass through.

Can't believe Krotz Springs is not on that list.
No dam sense that the limit goes back to 55 On the bridge. Makes it harder for semi's not being able to have more momentum as they hit the bottom of the bridge, getting on.

Cheneyville, Lecompte, Bunkie, US 71 in St Landry Parish all deserve mention, IMHO...
