that silly cheer thing?
We're here talking about really good news and some think we are spreading bad news.

It really surprised me that numbers were up so much today. (cases)
They are testing the hell out of people. Lot's of free testing sites have opened up and of course schools/jobs are pushing testing if you have a sniffle.

I know how to read statistics. I post rational comments based on the data and cultists flip out. The mental issues are theirs.

Can't speak for the other 9, but I downvoted you because you took issue with someone not believing numbers that have definitely been fudged over the last 18 months.
The Rt numbers have been extremely easy to correlate with raw numbers. The reason why some on the right can't understand the world is that they deny reality whenever it doesn't match up with what they think they are supposed to believe.
Covid numbers aren't doom and gloom or sunshine and roses. They are what they are. The ups and downs over the last year and a half actually happened. recently we were on a very steep upsurge and now we are on a very steep downslope.
But if one doesn't believe anything until they are told what to believe, they are just living in a fog of unreality.

I feel like you have completely misunderstood my post to you.

Downvoting the condescension in your post

I didn't misunderstand you at all. You posted in support of some dude who thinks that "THEY" (whoever the hell that is) are "FUDGING THE NUMBERS" (whatever the hell that means).
There is no "they" who are "fudging the numbers." There are public health statistics that sometimes go up and sometimes go down, and sometimes are revised when counting errors are discovered.
The "they" crap is conspiracy unreality, aka not the truth, aka fiction.
The actual numbers aren't always pretty, but the Rt trend we've had for a couple of weeks now is damn sexy.

That's also a damn sexy number.

I explained what I meant in my first post to you. A post you've chosen to ignore btw.

You may find this hard to believe, but viruses don't care if you believe in them or anything about them.

So another Q-tard doesn't believe the numbers. It's all a conspiracy. So they come into a thread discussing positive statistical trends and post crap like this:
quote:
They are going to frick with these numbers as long as they need people to comply. Not a chance in hell I believe them
The stupidity is exhausting. When adults are discussing the daily statistics, the Q-tards always have to interject their firm grasp on unreality. This is all a conspiracy to get people to comply.
One can never be overly sarcastic in calling out this level of stupidity.

Yeah. People on the left NEVER do this. Ever.

It is the reproductive number (the number of people one infected person is anticipated to infect). If the Rt is 0.58, it means 100 infected people are anticipated to infect a total of 58 people, meaning that the overall cases should be trending downward significantly. Likewise, if Rt > 1, it means that the case numbers are trending upward.

Why are 48,000 people getting tested. Only 6k tested positive...no way 42,000 felt sick and tested negative.
The fact that we are testing just to test is the major issue.
