By almost ever measure, Louisiana is the worst for auto tort climate and litigation frequency. It's not even debatable.

What's the negative against no-fault insurance?

I already carry uninsured/under insured because I assume the most likely is some jackleg without enough insurance is going to hit me.

what they are selling you is propaganda. This bill is being pushed by the insurance companies. It's not to help the normal person in any way shape or form. It's not going to lower rates. What it will do is bog down the judicial system, which is already bogged down, and cost more in tax dollars, put more stress on businesses, delay criminal and civil trials, etc.

Looks out for exactly one person on the planet.

Can you guess who that might be?

No fault is not a cure either. Everyone magically has some minor percentage of permanent disability from every accident.

I'm not sure I follow.

The current no pay no play doesn't seem to reduce the premiums.

There was an amendment considered that would have required the insurance industry to lower rates by a percentage if the bill was passed. They refused. Tort reform only benefits the insurance companies. There was zero requirement that they lower rates in exchange for increased profits.

Changes take time for real benefits to be seen. You’re essentially asking companies to immediately further their losses.

I worked as a Senate Page and Aid, most of these guys are scumbags.

I especially hate Ryan Gatti, he confronted me by asking if I was going to heaven or hell. What kind of person asks that just after meeting someone? I told him pergatory like a smart arse. Anyway, frick him for asking that question in front of my senator and other important people.
