And it’s funny because he was an Arab. Changing a real person in order to make someone feel warmer and fuzzier. It’s the exact same reason for changing movie characters that gets blasted by people
It isn't even close to similar, but you can keep making yourself look foolish if you wish.

So changing a fake comic book characters race to make people feel better about themselves is outlandish, but changing a historical figures race to make people feel warm and fuzzy totally makes sense

Based on scripture, who do you believe Jesus would have a bigger issue with, if either:
The person who rejects the teachings of christ
The apostle who turns away a person seeking to learn of the teachings of christ?
Both, but only one of these scenarios happened here. The first one.

So, to clarify, your belief is that rejecting jesus is on par with refusing to spread His Word to those who seek it?

I guess the church should just throw being merciful out mercy out the door. Not worth it for an evil 5 year old that will poison all that come in contact with her.

I'm not sure I have enough information and I'm not sure I could make a great call on the hypothetical even if I did
But I'm not seeing how what you're talking about (if I understand it well) is apples to apples with the scenario here. I am open to the idea that turning away a child from a Christian school for the sin of her guardians is the wrong answer.

What will happen when private schools start picking and choosing who comes in and it “appears” to discriminate.

Wowsers. If you truly believe these are similar, I encourage you to start a thread about it. Should be fun to watch.

Hey don't let reality get in the way of your anger.

We as a society like to pretend men and women are just alike and interchangeable. But they’re not. A child needs a mother and a father. Not a mother & no father, not a father and no mother. And for sure not two mothers or fathers. Virtually everything wrong in our society goes bs k to children being raised in homes without either a mother or more usually a father.

Are you under the impression that white blue eyed Jesus is a major tenet of Christianity?

You sound very preoccupied by this subject. Personally, I don't give a rat's arse about either.

This child's mother and father are both dead. The aunt adopted her. I think I would prefer family, gay or not, to raise my child than some other option. Did other family members step up? IDK.. but in this case I dont have an issue with her being adopted by lesbians.

What additional information would be helpful in this hypothetical?
An apostle is traveling and spreading the gospel, and a town he comes upon rejects his message and casts him out, but an individual comes to him as he is leaving and asks to hear the gospel. The apostle refuses and continues on.
Do you believe that the apostle's refusal is the same, better, or worse than the town's rejection?

If this were my scenario, I'd have put it in my will that they be the absolute last resort. I'd prefer almost anyone from my church to adopt my kids before a family member living in sin.

How in the world is this the Christian thing to do?
Some Christians believe they would be welcoming the wrath of God upon themselves and their school if they accepted this child. Its that simple. They dont take any agency over their decision if they believe they are doing what God instructs them to do. I'm not saying that is what this pastor believes. He may being more pragmatic in his thinking.

Who is it that you think is being refused the gospel in the scenario being discussed in this thread?
