He could always open the state completely so that the businesses can get some cash flow but if it’s not open then have to pay employees 8 more dollars they will close.

How about give them what they deserve!!! $400 lol They will take about half that, leaving $200 per month. Per month. That’s a slap in the face and honestly teachers prolly won’t ever see this raise.

Some people don’t understand how much teachers work and how little they are paid. If you took the hours these elementary teachers are at school before and after work and on weekend to provide for these kids, it’s insane. I bet it’s close to minimum wage pay.
Don’t come here with the “o they off all the time” that’s bullshite cause they’re at school majority of there off time. Atleast good teachers are.

I can't say how it was handled in other parts of the state, but in Jeff Parish, they held the signing in front of Lakeside Mall on Veterans, with the statue of Harry Lee looking on in approval.

frick that's a parish with 400K+ residents and a parish that went 60+% for Trump in 2016...hell they went damn near 60% for Mittens.
For the total signatures to be south of 150K...you'd have to imagine that it had to be a helluva lot less than 15K signatures from Jefferson Parish...pretty piss poor...and it has to do with location and marketing. GOP doesn't know how to do these kind of things nearly as good as Dims do.
