just remember... it's ok if you illegally cross into the United States
you just better not legally cross into Mexico... otherwise you will be ostracized

just got out for the first time
observations:
- roads are fine if you stay in the ruts
- apparently red lights don't mean anything if there is snow on the ground (I almost got hit by some moron who just casually blew through a red light on Youree)
- people are legit hiking to the grocery store and filling up backpacks with food and water (hiking poles and all)
- half of the vehicles on the road are plumbing trucks
- good luck finding milk, bread, and red meat

We must have taken the same routes this morning. Couldn’t believe I saw the cross country trekkers heading to the grocery store.

The main roads were damn near pleasant. My driveway and neighborhood road on the other hand...notsomuch
And if anyone is interested, the stonewall Mexican restaurant and liquor store are open and extremely occupied

Yep
the only time I slid a bit was when I turned onto my street, as I guess I was the first person to drive down it today

I think we may go south through Tyler and try to loop back on to 49. It’s going to suck.

Welp we survived the storms only to get hit with delayed power outages after it started thawing. Apparently the ice was the only thing holding it all together. To make it worse it got cloudy and the roads started icing up again.

This is a long thread with lots of posters in it, and I have yet to see one person post one decent recipe for a Milk Sandwich.
