Sucks balls here in cenla.

Freaking ice everywhere. All my trees busted up.
No power. Who knows when it’ll come back on. I’m assuming all this crap will have to melt first.

We are now under a boil advisory, but all I have from the faucets is a trickle.

Radar showing round 3 approaching.

We have been gathering flush water from the houses runoff. We are down to it and having to use the Kentwood water reserves I had stockpiled for baths. Down to the last 20 gallons.

I have to go to Lafayette and maybe can pick up a bunch of cheap water while there.

I don’t know. I think they’re both awful but maybe not comparable as far as devastation???

But I’ve seen some scary photos of inside homes (maybe they were apartments?) .. Icicles hanging from a ceiling fan .. very freaky to see.

Even here in Louisiana we prepped like we would for a hurricane .. but I guess not everyone can afford a generator, propane grill (if you’re in an apartment where would you put it?).

Prayers for all of those affected. It is a sad situation.

As someone who just got power back last night, how the hell do you get icicles hanging in your apartment? This week has been hard as hell but life threatening only for the old, sick or homeless.

I aint laughing at you but I am laughing. Fixing to fill up a couple five gallon buckets myself here in Alexandria. My water pressure is down to a trickle. This has gone from fun and exciting to a big pain in the arse.

Still have power and water in Alex at my hood, but under boil advisory...pressure is low but enough to flush your dump. I’m going to brave going to store but I’m sure there is no water but we are out of wine

Meteorologist Nick Mikulas
It looks like this little wave of energy isn’t doing enough to overcome the low level dry air. It’s in the upper 20s in the area, so roads are no doubt, an adventure in many spots. I can’t rule out a flurry or sleet pellet, but for now, I think we are pretty much done with stuff falling from the sky. Except icicles, and other ice chunks that have formed up high. Some will melt, and some will come crashing down, so be careful if you’re walking into a building and stop to enjoy the pretty ice. It can do some damage. Ok, I think I’m done for now? No crazy weather to look at. What will I do with myself?

While power has been restored to many and more are coming online every hour, we really need to climb above freezing and stay there ASAP. Any chance this happens faster than Saturday afternoon?

I’m going to sleep well tonight for the first time since Sunday with a warm home and hot water. This week has been exhausting.

Damn, didn’t realize that much fell. What did fall yesterday couldn’t runoff downhill like it normally would because of the ice built up. It just pooled and refroze making it worse. I was hoping to get out and check on things at my office and warehouse today. I don’t see that happening right now though.

If you can grab a couple cases of that there water I have a extra bottle of wine or two. Unless you drink the fancy stuff...then you can just donate me the water.
