Y’all baws stay safe down there
It’s another blizzard here in Little Rock.
Actually went to work yesterday and when I got home, I couldn’t make it up the driveway.
Hate parking on the street.

I would think the rain would melt the existing areas of frozen precipitation

Possibly but it breaks it up some then immediately freezes over night when it's in the 20s.

So what's the running count on Houston once in a lifetime events?

Hurricane Harvey
COVID Pandemic
Snowmageddon

What am I missing?

I bet there is an incredible amount of sleet falling over much of northern Louisiana right now. Radar looks like this with temps only in the 20s.

Showers will be moving through the area today and tonight. Rain, freezing rain, sleet, and snow will be possible. Coastal areas will likely see rain while northern areas will likely see freezing rain and sleet. Temperatures will primarily be in the 30s. #txwx #lawx

Been sleeting like crazy in Shreveport. Woke up about 3 and saw the brief heavy snow before it shifted. Looks like a real light glaze of ice from a touch of freezing rain hope that stuff stays south of us.

Marksville area, 30 degrees and light sleet

Never seen sheets of sleet like we had Sunday night before it turned to snow
