West Feliciana mostly sleet. All bridges are iced and roads are starting to get slick but not too bad. Good news is there is minimal ice accumulation on the power lines as best I can tell. Not sure about the trees leaning towards them though

ERCOT is in EEA level 3, Texas must have lost significant amounts gas volumes from freeze ups because the operating peak was 68K at 7PM but right now it's at 53K MW and rolling blackouts. My power went out, back on, then blinked off and on just now.

My truck is already coated with ice here in Watson. Pretty steady rain/ice pellet mix falling right now and looks like it's starting to transition to all freezing rain.

I10 in BR is surprisingly not icy yet.
I10 from Grosse Tete to BR is open... And probably shouldn't be. I just ran blocker for an ambulance and let them know where it was slick. But the whole 14 miles is pretty much a sheet of ice at this point.
30 minutes amd I get to drive back.
I'm expecting things to have gotten worse.

This is going to turn into a shite show real fast. It just started to rain and I can already see a substantial build up of ice on tree limbs.

I brought a power saw, chains, and gloves with me to the hospital.
The last 15 miles or so on the way home has trees on each side.
