that makes sense, the data is flawed, obviously someone in BR will have to travel farther to get groceries than someone in NYC but that doesn't necessarily mean the person in BR is interacting with more people, could actually be quite the opposite

Locking ppl who are asymptomatic carriers inside.
With people who are likely old/sick results in infection of old/sick people.

All they’re doing is tracking average travel distance which has nothing to do with social distancing.

BR still has a lot of travel activity due to heavy industry being essential. Those driving distances are commutes of 20-40 miles one way.
