Typical Southern food is not Creole or Cajun.

Man that Savory bracket is fricking brutal. Whoever takes it deserves to win the tourney.

I would take Shrimp in the Poboy bracket, King Cake if it is Randazzos, and Daquiri because in LA heat you are going to need a drink that has a long shelf life for staying cool.

This is a Nola/S.La list, not a Louisiana list. That's fine, but call it what it is. No collard greens, no cornbread, no pork chops

I guess it depends on how far north of I-10 you live.

Sometimes I feel like Baptist/Protestant North Louisiana is closer culturally to Texas and Arkansas than French/Catholic South Louisiana.

Yes? I don't understand why small dicked people south of I10 are so insecure about anything in the state being different from what they know.

I'll gladly take years of state income taxes back if it's not "real" Louisiana.

SOMEONE cannot take a joke...but in all honesty Shreveport has more in common with Texas / Arkansas than S. Louisiana.

My personal final 4 would be Fried Shrimp Poboy, Boiled Crawfish, King Cake, and Old Fashioned with crawfish winning it all.

How they make the first round pairing of etouffee and gumbo???

Can they just default to the final four?

So? Louisiana is seriously the only state that thinks they have to be the exact same within its borders.

I didn't say that. I wouldn't expect SE Texas to me the same as NW for example. I was just simply stating a fact that Shreveport area has more in common with Texas / Arkansas than it does Laff, BR, NOLA. There is nothing wrong with that but it's still very different.
