One has to wonder if all those Mardi Gras beads were worth it now.

Is it possible to have COVID-19 and die from something else or are all positive COVID-19 patients that pass away counted in the death numbers?

good question..

I was wondering about those 90 something year old Lambeth House patients that were on Hospice that passed away, and also had COVID-19...they were counted as COVID-19 deaths....but obviously had other underlying medical issues.

Silver lining might be that Louisiana's numbers are higher because they have tested more at this point but I don't know the stats.

Up to 34 dead? Interesting. We're now trending faster than Italy did from the first case. They only had 29 deaths at the end of today.

You are really a very stupid person. Explains why you can figure out Excel.

those curves look good and make it appear we're doing better but they're mostly just a result of the LDH going from updating twice a day to once a day

That's all that it is, more tests. Isn't changing a damn thing but creating numbers that are practically meaningless to anyone but biostaticians and the fear-ridden dolts among the populace.

It doesn't include today's numbers. They tested a lot more in the New Orleans/Jefferson area several days ago. Those results are flooding back in.

No. The number of tests performed is relevant. And if the numbers from Italy are the result of the same or more tests than Louisiana; then the Louisiana numbers are extremely troubling.

Your interpretation isn't. 34 deaths where? Trending ahead of Italy how?

Given the cruise lines, port, international conventions etc... I’m not so sure about that.

Regardless, what’s sad is that the spread is so widespread, you are comparing a state of 3 million to an ENTIRE European country in your argument.

That’s not a positive spin no matter how hard you try

I know they are testing way more this week - but those are really sad numbers.
