LDH Website

LDH provides one daily update each day at 12PM CT except on Saturdays.

I have absolutely no idea how they calculated these numbers.

So 3500 new cases but the cases actually went up by 10,000? Makes sense to me.

Because they are now including probable cases as actual case numbers.

201,981 total cases
194,685 confirmed
7,296 probable

around 1/5 of those are probable cases
just having a cough is enough for a probable case

This is absolutely anecdotal but I have noticed WAY more cases recently in Lafayette. People where I work are sick. People in my neighborhood are sick. STM is shut down for the next two weeks. Erath High in Vermilion Parish is shut down for two weeks.

They’re participating in some frickery but it’s absolutely seeming worse here right now.

1) I don't give a shite about cases

2) My husband, who NEVER says much about these things said in reference to "Biden and a possible national mask/lockdown" -- "I won't do it and he can come and get me himself".

3) In reference to my story previously about the OPH nursing home surveyors not having to test/wear a mask, I thought "well maybe they've been tested at work and don't have to test to go into a facility. I'm told by the DON where I work that they're "exempt".

Wish Amos was around to help me figure if this is true or not.

Oh and F*CK that asshat in BR. You know, the one who smacks.

Who gives a damn about these numbers. The more important numbers are the rise in people who filed unemployment last week in Louisiana. I feel terrible for anyone facing job or income loss bc of JBE. He needs to focus on that and nothing more.

The media has jumped back on to covering COVID now. Nothing else exciting is going on. They need clicks and ratings.

Henderson but are people SICK or are they sick? I mean if I have a slight cough, fever, sniffles, I will NOT go to the doctor ... I wouldn't have LAST year before this and I won't go now! Fever for me = stay home. I'm not an idiot.
