So the 938 new cases were on a 7.7% positive rate, not the best but stagnant ventilators is good

I have a friend in nola who says the recent surge in hospitalizations is due to young people going in and out in one night or so as a precaution. these aren't icu or long term admittances.

An ER visit and discharge home would not count as a hospital admit - those are categorically two different statistics. Admits are most certainly up, but what I do not know is who is being admitted and who is dying (who meaning age and level of health, nursing home, etc). Would help to know in the context of the significant increases in positive tests.
