So 9.3% positive. But now science tells us 3% of those are false.

So adjusted that comes out to 6.3% positive.

Not too bad.

Yep. Good to see. I also
Like the very low death numbers. I don’t like the increased hospitalizations though. I’d like to see those come down

Agree. I think there is a dump of negatives each Monday for the weekend, personally. Positives are prioritized for reporting and, if you go back through % positive statistics, Monday is an outlier many weeks. Just a theory.

Why can’t labs report all of their numbers at the end of each day/beginning of the next morning? Are we reporting each test individually?

Hospitalizations and vents still trending in the wrong direction. At this pace we’ll beat our previous max hospitalizations in a week or two.

My little brother went from being a textbook OT Anti-Karen on face masks to being a believer this weekend when he was brought to a standstill with liquid shits, high fever, and loss of taste & smell on Saturday night. The virus is real, y’all. He’s healthy and doesn’t have any pre-existing conditions that would make him more susceptible. I texted him yesterday and asked how he feels about the OT right now and he said all you anti-Karen’s are insufferable right now.

Full disclosure: I have no idea of the reporting process from lab perspective. I can only speculate via my perspective. I know positives are prioritized from a notification of patient standpoint and would assume the same for reporting.

Found an interesting tab on ldh's website. There is a Tab called "New Cases by Collection Date". I assume by the title, that means they are tracking information back to the date the patient actually took the case, not just when the positive result was returned.

If my understanding is accurate, that means there were:
5,622 new cases from testing dates between 7/7 - 7/13
9,974 from 6/30 - 7/06
15,596 for the last 14 days

Obviously, the daily totals are open to change, but I think it gives a better picture when you consider the patient is presumed recovered it has been more than 14 days, since he/she tested positive and he/she is not currently in the hospital or deceased .
*Bolded language directly from ldh's website.
