No, because they can run a flu test off COVID swab. Most places test for both now that it is flu season.
And yes you could get both together. Why they were big on people getting a flu shot this year. Because they were worried what a combo of flu and COVID together would look like.

Weird thing: a friend of my wife is obese, is currently in the hospital with every symptom of covid & every single covid test has been negative.

On November 1, my active case count was 6,775. On November 12 it was 8,755. These counts do not include "probable" cases. On November 13th, they started including "probable" cases in the chart. That saw an increase in my active case count of 4,646 to 13,401. LDH shows 15,886 "probable" cases as of today. I have no way of telling what days those cases are assigned to, so I have no way of determining an active count of confirmed vs probable cases.

He’s good, just bored & lonely
I worry that more people will start going downhill quickly when they don’t get to see friends & family for the holidays
Some of those people have family that only comes around for holidays, others have no one & they look forward to the activities
