When we get these numbers, we’ll open things back up.

Seriously though, what is the line? What does the data need to be to determine that it’s reasonably safe to open things up again?Who makes that determination? Governors? The President? No one wants to pull the trigger and put themselves at risk for political backlash.

It's just a fact, I'm actually not a doomer, I've been arguing with my brother who is, for over a month on this.

He's finally turning the corner but keeps telling me we aren't out yet, he keeps putting way too much stock into deaths and positives

Tests/Cases are a huge win.
I'm just curious why you think so. Still hovering around 21% positive tests

Those new cases numbers vs total tested is great news. Looks like Sunday numbers until you compare how many tested positive versus how many were tested

The goal all along was not to completely get rid of new cases/deaths, but to slow it down so that HCP’s weren’t overwhelmed. What are the numbers we’ll need to see to assure those calling the shots that our hospitals can now keep up for those in need of hospitalization?

Still struggling to find it - not trolling - just trying to find it for future use.

They update it daily with the new case information. They take it down when the new reports are released then report it when later. I believe it popped back up yesterday around 3pm.

I like that Louisiana has the ability to turn the numbers much quicker than say a New York. We had a huge event (Mardi Gras) and can get through those positives who then also passed it on to other people. Social isolation will break up that chain. No we won’t have zero cases and that isn’t the goal. New York on the other hand has a much harder time breaking the cycle due to huge mass transit which is still continuing and dense population.

Jefferson and Orleans seem to be the big problems for cases and deaths ... can't "some areas" be slowly reopened? I mean come on man? And I don't mean today ... it is what it is BUT April 30 start opening some things. (provided numbers stay on this track of DOWN)
