Not sure but I am I guess assuming the convention center drive thru?? And she admitted that the outcome could have been the same with earlier testing BUT she'll never know.

eta: from KATC: Carencro woman speaks out after husband denied testing, dies from COVID-19

A Carencro woman is speaking out after her husband died from COVID-19.

Keenan Duffy, went to the Cajundome to be tested and was turned away, despite having symptoms and caring for his mother who was positive.

"If they're doing it to us they're doing to other people," said Duffy's wife, Kerstin Duffy.

In late March, Keenan Duffy's mother tested positive for COVID-19. He brought her to the hospital, days later he began feeling sick. On April 4th, we went to the Cajundome to get tested and was denied.

"He told them that he had been in close contact with someone who had the virus he was running fever and that he was diabetic. They told him that because he wasn't having shortness of breath he didn't the criteria," said Duffy.

Unable to get a test at the Cajundome, Kerstin called around St. Landry Parish and Keenan was tested that same day. He was quarantines at home and things got worse, even before his test results came back.

A lot of the testing advocates seem to envision a situation where there is going to be mass testing of asymptomatic people. Tha

People all have different visions because JBE keeps yelling about testing ... and says nothing more in relation to it.

There was a news piece last night on KATC about a gentleman in I think Lafayette parish who tried to get tested twice and was turned down -- he was black, a ittle overweight looking, had BEEN IN CONTACT with his positive mother (he brought her to the doctor I think) and he had diabetes. His wife called around and found a site in St. Landry parish who said yes to bring him .. he got tested, he got sick while waiting, when he was told he was positive the wife brought him to the Hospital. He died two days later. WHY would someone who had been in contact with a positive patient NOT have been tested???? Even if it was early on (I didn't catch the time line but maybe a month?) contact with someone should have "qualified" you!

Did the doctor treating mom order testing? The only thing that would make any sense would be if at time he had zero symptoms and/or no proof of contact with a positive case or test orders from a doctor. You would think mom's doctor would order a test since they know that history and him being with her, but I would also think they should have gone to a doctor as soon as symptoms came on instead of waiting for results to then go to hospital.

Edit: Denial was earlier in month than i thought and not sure of requirements at beginning of month. Also looks like he still may have gotten a test the same day as denial at cajundome. It's still hard to tell from article how long they waited to go to hospital or if results from cajundome would have come back any faster than one in St Landry back in beginning of April. The wife mentions passing from it in 2 weeks (2 days after going to hospital), and knowing what they know about exposure and diabetes and so on that seems to be biggest point of article that could really help people more than the being denied in one place while tested in another on 4th - don't wait on result to see a doctor especially if getting worse and in second week. But we don't know how long it was because article focuses on denial.
