WINNFIELD, La. (AP) — Tucked away in the dense forest of rural Louisiana is a barbed wire-ringed prison that has quickly grown into a major detention center for immigrants detained at the border.
The Winn Correctional Center is one of eight Louisiana jails that have started housing asylum seekers and other migrants over the past year, making Louisiana an unlikely epicenter for immigrant detention under President Donald Trump. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says it’s now holding about 8,000 migrants in Louisiana out of 51,000 nationally.

I actually did know about this. The immigration attorneys I know never stop complaining about it being in Winnfield while they all live in liberal enclaves in BR or NOLA.

Last Friday I was leaving the bank and they had at least 20 people of questionable citizenship walking in to cash their checka. They all worked for a stump grinding company in Houma.

Department of Corrections is actually having a space crisis right now due to local Sheriffs no longer holding DOC inmates. Feds pay almost double DOC rate.

They show up everyday,on time and ready to work. I wish we could kill off the lazy,unreliable white boys that don’t give a shite.Import more reliable people of questionable citizenship.

There's a staging facility at England International Airport, so why wouldn't all of Louisiana detain them. The local parish prison is empty here, bring em to Vernon parish too.
